Your account and your cases
We keep your email address, your account dates, your language, and the brand you signed up with. A saved SOS case keeps your answers, letter, checklist, status and key dates. A saved processor list keeps your answers and the status of your applications. Your profile keeps your taxpayer ID situation (SSN, ITIN or neither), countries of residence, entities, type of business address, monthly volume band and sector. Each case can only be opened by its owner.
Before you save
Your answers are stored on our server, linked to a random key in your browser session, so that your plan can be shown. They never go into a link. They are deleted after 30 days unless you save your case.
Signing in
You sign in with a six-digit code sent by email. It is valid for ten minutes and can be used once; we only store its fingerprint. Sign-in may happen on our account page and then bring you back with a one-time token. Each site uses its own session cookie, which no other site receives. To limit abuse, temporary fingerprints of your email and IP address are kept for at most 30 minutes. Server logs may contain IP addresses.
Emails
We send sign-in codes and e-mails about your own cases through Resend, an e-mail delivery provider. After you save a case, the first e-mail attaches your letter as a PDF; the next ones only contain links. You can stop them in your account or with the link in each e-mail. Product e-mails are only sent if you opt in.
Partner links
When you click a partner link, it goes through our server first. We record the partner, the page, how you reached us, your account or a fingerprint of your session, and the case identifier if there is one. We do not send your answers or your email to the partner. What happens on the partner's site follows its own policy.
Sharing your result
If you report a result (released, lost, accepted, refused), it is stored with your account. It is only used for other people's recommendations if you tick the sharing box, and then without your email or any amount. Unshared results are deleted with your account.
Uploaded documents
Documents you upload are encrypted on our server and can only be downloaded by you.
Usage counters
Anonymous daily counters (page, platform, source category, action) help us improve the site. They contain no answers, email or account identifier. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control turn them off. We load no advertising cookie, third-party tracking script or external font.
No AI on your case
No content of your case is sent to an artificial intelligence service.
Backups and retention
Daily backups of the database and documents are kept for seven days on the server. An encrypted copy is stored off the server for 30 days, and the copy of the first day of each month is kept with no time limit. Deleted data can remain in these backups for those periods.
Export and delete
You can download each case (PDF letter and JSON file) and delete it. Deleting your account deletes all its cases, lists, documents and unshared results. To exercise your other rights, contact the publisher below.
Providers
The site runs on a server we rent. Traffic passes through Cloudflare, which also stores our encrypted backups. Emails are sent through Resend.
